Lead Pastor

Joseph Cedillo

Joseph Cedillo is a grateful husband to his amazing wife of 12 years and a proud father to a wonderful son who brings so much joy and energy to his life. For over a decade, Joseph has had the privilege of serving in ministry, starting as a youth pastor for six years, where he invested deeply in the lives of young people. He then served as an assistant pastor for two more years and also had the opportunity to use his creative gifts as a video and creative director, helping share powerful stories that point people to Christ.

Today, Joseph is humbled to serve as the pastor of Sovereign Heights Church, where he seeks to lead with a servant’s heart and a deep desire to see lives transformed by God’s grace. He considers it an incredible blessing to be part of what God is doing in the church and the community. Whether preaching, creating, or simply spending time with his family, Joseph strives to honor God in all he does, trusting that God is working through every step of the journey.

When he’s not serving or creating, Joseph enjoys exploring the outdoors with his family, brainstorming new ideas, and finding ways to connect with others — always with a heart eager to follow where God leads.

Associate Pastor

Josiah Strotz

Josiah has been part of Sovereign Heights Church since he was born, as his grandparents founded the church (formerly known as Idledale Community Church), his parents were leaders in the church, and his brother was the senior pastor prior to Pastor Joe stepping into his current position. Josiah has helped with leading and being a part of the youth group, the visual audio team, security team, outreach ministries, and now the worship team. Josiah has a complete focus on God being the largest purpose of anyone and everyone’s lives;

“Praising God in the highs or lows of life and understanding that He is truly sovereign, is key in finding true fulfillment, peace, and joy in your life.”

“For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled [before others], and he who habitually humbles himself (keeps a realistic self-view) will be exalted.”

- Luke 14:11
